Access + Opinion + Green Light = Human Condition Part II

On the night of our Carnivale Gala & Masquerade, last season's Human Condition exhibit artists, Christian Hamrick and Allison Hutto, will both take a little creative energy out on 16ft blank canvases. And, you...you'll tell them what to do with that energy.

As Christian puts it :

"...the communication between artist and observer will def reveal something about our humanity. The response and descision of the artist to regard/disregard messages reveals choice (something very human). The collective effort of something "human" will be revealed through various bits of indivuality."

Exciting, huh!!

This is how it will work. Two massive 16ft canvas will be propped up and secured for both Christian & Allison. As they begin to work, they will utilize social media (by way of laptops/ipads placed next to their work stations) to field real-time suggestions, input, and directions on their pieces from the TLG audience - who will be watching through a live-stream feed. Audience members present at the event will also be able to give feedback through social media (as not to interrupt the artists' rhythm). Some feedback/suggestions the artists will regard and implement into their pieces. Others...they won't. Through this exchange, both the artist and the audience/observer have the experience of developing the same work of Art - on seperate levels of control.
