ABOUT THE GALA
Our first annual Masquerade Ball (Feb 2011) turned out to be a great time, enjoyed by all! Now, on to February 10, 2012, where our plans are to expand upon this event by having it serve both as our largest social gathering and fundraising event of the season!
This year we are adding the addition of a GALA to the Masquerade! The Gala is an elegant and entertaining semi-formal dinner which serves, not only as a great night out-on-the-town, but also as a way to spread the true value of becoming invested into the Arts within their own communities and throughout the state of Alabama. We strive to inspire these attendees and provide them with the motivation to return to their communities with intentions to begin supporting and advocating Arts organizations much like ours!
All in all, the Gala is an opportunity to get dressed up, network within the community, and have a fabulously enjoyable evening of Art and inspiration! A great event for business & civic leaders, and a great way to celebrate the
Valentines holiday as well!
Gala attendees are also welcomed to the
MASQUERADE PARTY immediately afterwards! The Masquerade will remain open to the public as did last year, and promises to feature amazing art work, performing artists, and entertainment!

FEATURED GALA PERFORMERS
Along with a handful of other delicious surprises, our Gala will feature a musical presentation by ADVENTURE THE GREAT, the up-and-coming band of Feed The Band project's first episode!
Gala attendees will also be priveleged to the West African Percussion stylings of performing artist, Ayinde Hurrey.
GALA TABLE & SEAT INFORMATION
As of January 6th, and through generous contributions by a few of our amazing Board Members, attendance to our Carnivale Gala will now be at no cost! We are truly grateful for our support system, and their dedication to assure the success of our event!
However, this does mean tables and seating will be very limited for the Gala. We will be reaching out to specific friends and patrons of TLG, as well as local business and civic leaders for Gala attendance. That being said, there should still be seating available. If you, your business, or group would like to attend the Gala, please contact our Executive Director, Doc Waller, at

The Masquerade Party is our more creative, "let your hair down," part of the evening. Boasting an up tempo, performance style atmosphere with great food and entertainment, the Masquerade will have you wide-eyed, laughing, and dancing into the night!

THE VENUE : THE EVENT CENTER DOWNTOWN

Event Center Downtown is a one-of-a-kind special events center in the heart of historic downtown Opelika, Alabama. The Event Center is housed in the former Coca-Cola building, giving new life to a familiar structure. The center retains much of the building's original charm and character by having a unique warehouse atmosphere with added modern amenities for clients to reserve various areas for meetings or for special events.
