FULL-TIME STAFF POSITIONS

Let’s face it...no nonprofit organization can survive without the dedicated time and energy passionate people put into it. These individuals, more often than not, work on a volunteer basis for months, or even years, before being given the stability of compensation. Contributing to Layman Group staff positions will provide us the necessary assurance that these extremely valuable people are able to stay on board, and even delve further into their passionate work.

OFFICE SUPPLIES

You wouldn’t believe how fast a nonprofit can go through supplies in just a week, especially during a fundraising push or in the middle of a production campaign! The bare essentials are always a prime source of spending. These essentials include anything from business cards and letterhead to computer equipment and cleaning supplies.

PRODUCTIONS, PROJECTS & EVENTS

Contributing to a specific production, project or event, is a great way to let us and the community know what excites you personally. Whether it’s an exhibit, theatre production, or educational workshop, you can specifically put your name (or company’s name) in line with a well publicized, and well attended, occasion.

AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT

We’ve got lots of work to do, and most of what we do either specifically requires Audio / Visual capabilities, or definitely needs to be well documented (recorded) for later fundraising and presentational purposes. We also want to make sure we’re producing the best quality work for our audience, so quality tools are a must.  Not to mention, we’d save a ton of money if we had IN-HOUSE equipment rather than having to rent or contract services.

ORIGINAL PUBLICATIONS

Having dynamic, original publications available at all times, is a great way of spreading our mission as well as gaining new audience throughout the state of Alabama. Become an Underwriter or Collaborative Editor by contributing to our publications fund.

PROFESSIONAL ARTIST STIPENDS

It’s very important to us that we offer financially supportive opportunities to the artists who work with us.  It not only allows us to show our gratitude and respect for their work, but also provides these artists with the necessary stability and peace of mind needed to focus their time and energy into their craft. Which, in the end, benefits our mission and our audience’s fulfillment.

MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

Marketing and Public Relations are just as important for the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit as they are to for-profit businesses. We have an extremely essential mission we need to project to the community, and we have to do it well! First impressions last a lifetime.

INTERNS AND AMBASSADORS STIPENDS

Our young professionals are extremely important to us! Things just don’t get done without their help. We also cherish the opportunity to give these young adults the opportunity to work in a professional arts environment, and gain the tools to further their own careers.

Some of you may notice that we’ve made a few changes to our contribution/support opportunities. For instance, we’ve completely removed all specified contribution levels, benefit categories, and even the term “guild.”

Here is why…

We feel it’s very important that our focus on the “layman” (the everyman) of the community is apparent and priority in everything we do. That even includes the support we get from you. We want members of the community to know that their contributions, no matter the amount, are just as appreciated as any others. It’s sort of getting back to an “it’s the thought that counts” way of thinking! And as far as benefits of contributing go, we feel anyone who is able to contribute should be privileged to any type of benefit.  For example, we want to invite someone who has given $10, and someone who has given $10, 000 to the same private recognition dinner.

Furthermore, by removing a “guild” or “group” environment we keep from separating those who support us financially from those who are not capable of doing so. The emotional and creative support we get from members of the community is just as valuable to us as the financial support we receive.

Lastly, instead of categories and levels, we’ve decided to give you clear pictures of exactly what we need as an organization, and specifically where your money will be going. We want there to be no doubt about where we are investing your hard earned dollars. In the end, we feel this method will provide our supporters with a more cherished and sincere fulfillment as patrons!!
